New Year’s Even brought the usual hundred thousand people into the city to see the fireworks and party on to see in the new year.  There were loads of people dressed all in white heading to the white party “Sensation” at the Telstra Dome.  We headed up to the roof and had a perfect view of the midnight fireworks show over the city and the Yarra River.  I love watching all the strange people who pack into the city. I’m sure I saw 15 year old girls wandering about with 4 packs of vodka cruisers.
And of course the night doesn’t go as planned for some people hiding in the lane behind the loft.

That was Christmas
Christmas seemed to come and go very quickly this year. I took a quick trip to Queensland to see my family for a few days.  It was nice and relaxing swimming in the pool (that’s me on the inflatable lounge with my nephews in the pool) and catching up on their lives. It was way hotter there than it is here in Melbourne.  My parents have aircon installed in the house now so we could almost make it seem like a white Christmas inside the house.  We visited some of the big stores in the post-Christmas sales.  People are crazy when it comes to a sale.  Strangely Myer had NO airconditioning during the peak of the sales and had shoppers and staff passing out everywhere!  I got some really cool presents from my family…  we love buying presents for each other.
But it’s all over now and it’s back to work today.
Remember to Stretch
I’m VERY excited about this news. With the combination of more airlines and larger airplanes on the pacific route there’s bound to be cheaper airfares as the competition heats up. Delta and V Australia wil be adding long range Boeing 777s to the Pacific from February next year. Already we have seen seats go from around $2000 to $1100 in just a few months. Even Qantas seats dropped under $2k this month. But will Delta also compete with the Qantas accidents? Pictured above is one of Delta’s plane sucking up a cargo container.
Check out the story HERE.
I See Bad Things
I have been working on this movie for a while now.  I had to ride my scooter all over town looking for the Christmas.  But my Christmas spectacular is now complete. The first violent Christmas story will be posted shortly in the Private Room.  The plots we are coming up with at the moment are golden!
Team Lunch
A couple of days ago in Sydney our team finally got together from all over Australia for a Christmas lunch. It was such a nice time checking out one of Sydney’s nicest restaurants. I was totally under dressed for the occasion. It’s been a very long time since I’ve been out to a nice restaurant.
It’s days like these that make me realise how fortunate I am to have a great job and work with such a nice bunch of people.
Home Sweet Home
I’m home at last!  Those 2 week “working in Sydney” stints are pretty hard going. It’s been just over 3 years now since I started this job and I’ve racked up a considerable amount of miles flying around. I’ve been working with some new people in Sydney so it’s been a busy couple of weeks teaching them all about the company.  Thankfully on the weekend Greg popped out to visit me and drive me around town.  By the way… that’s Christine he’s leaning against… my old car from the 90’s. You can’t actually see it in the photo but she still has the rainbow sticker on the back bumper.  One day we are going to restore her to her mint 1989 condition.
I arrived home late from Sydney last night so I missed out on another work Christmas party. I did get a couple of text messages from my work mates late so it must have been a good party.  I guess a lot of parties were happening last night. I woke around 6am to a girl screaming outside. Since I was getting up I went to take a look and could only see this lifeless body lying outside McDonalds. One person was taken away by the police. I didn’t wait about to see what happened to the body.
